May the fourth be with you…

May 4th has (un)officially become Star Wars Day, and while the catchy phrase is sure to fill social feeds today, how many millennials have actually committed 13 hours to watching the movies?  So far there have been seven released, with two more in the works to be released December 2017 and May 2019.

The Star Wars franchise has successfully positioned itself to appeal to all ages; it isn’t unlikely to spot a tot + dad pair in matching storm trooper tees walking down the street, with both of them being avid Star Wars fans (okay, Dad likely dressed them in that tee). From the original Princess Leia to fan-favourite Chewbacca, lightsabers, spaceships and galaxies far far away – Star Wars takes viewers on a fantastical adventure through time and has surprisingly maintained its “future-esque” appeal.  Which, in a world where self-driving cars aren’t far out of reach, is an accomplishment.  With so many committed Star Wars buffs out there, May 4th always makes us want to finally commit to a movie marathon to watch the series from beginning to end.  Or is it from end to beginning? Either way…
