Fusing Experiential with Digital Amplification

Leading up to the holiday season, and just following the launch of Star Wars™: The Force Awakens, HP Star Wars™ street teams roamed high traffic downtown cores over a two-day period in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary promoting the HP Star Wars™ Special Edition Notebook.

Equipped with Storm Trooper, Sith, Droid, and Jedi themed photo frames, street teams encouraged consumers to take a fun #HPSWSelfie with their favourite Star Wars™: The Force Awakens character. By posting to Instagram, consumers earned themselves a chance to win an HP Special Edition Star Wars™ prize pack consisting of a Special Edition Star Wars™ HP Notebook with matching protective sleeve and mouse. Street Teams delivered contest and product key messaging while also distributing promotional flyers outlining participating retailers as well as the @hp Instagram handle with #AwakenYourForce and #HPSWSelfie hashtags as a call to action to join the contest.
