GTA Summer Concert Lineup
Toronto and the greater surrounding area has yet to let us down when it comes to summer concerts and festivals. With new performances being announced weekly, it already looks as though 2017 will be far from disappointing. To save you scanning through Ticketmaster or Live Nation we’ve compiled a list of this summer’s can’t-miss concerts, ensuring that you have the chance to grab tickets to your favourite acts.
Future, Migos, Tory Lanez, & Kodak Black – The Budweiser Stage (formerly Molson Amphitheater) is opening up the summer concert circuit with this huge lineup that will be sure to keep everyone on their feet all night long. Tickets are on-sale now starting at $65.
The Chainsmokers – They’ve been on our radios all Summer Sixteen, making Summer Seventeen not all that different! Hear them live at their first Toronto show this May at the ACC for $65+.
Chance The Rapper – Chance took the world by storm this awards season by being the first artist to be nominated and to win a Grammy for a streaming-only album. Chance will be performing at the Budweiser stage; tickets are on resale for $80+.
The Weeknd – Toronto’s very own, is leading a sold-out show at the ACC, but you’re in luck! Resale tickets are available through Ticketmaster starting at $185 if you haven’t been able to get your hands on them yet!
Kaskade – Take your average night out up a notch at Rebel nightclub with the sounds of your favourite DJ, for only $19!
Jason Aldean – Touring his 2016 They Don’t Know album, Jason Aldean will be bringing A Little More Summertime to Toronto until the Lights Come On at Budweiser stage.
Sam Hunt & Maren Morris – Kicking off his second headlining tour with the release of his second album this June, Sam Hunt will be bringing his 15 in a 30 Tour to Toronto fans at the Budweiser stage.
John Legend – Enjoy a summer evening with the soothing sounds of John Legend at the Budweiser Stage. Tickets are still on sale, starting at $65.
Lady Antebellum – Nothing says summer quite like yet another country concert. Join the Nashville trio outdoors at the Budweiser stage for $45+.
Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, &CNCO – Spice up your summer nights with a bit of Spanish and a lot of dancing at the ACC with these three killer acts!
Bud Light Dreams Festival (formerly Digital Dreams) – The Digital Dreams Music Festival is one of Toronto’s most popular summer electronic festivals. With recent re-branding this year, along with the addition of three stages, it’ll sure be an event to remember (Note: this event is 19+).
July 7th & 8th
Ed Sheeran – If electronic music isn’t your thing, no need to fear, one of our favourite British singer-songwriters will be in Toronto this same weekend at the ACC for two back to back sold-out shows (resale available). Sheeran’s tour, Divide, is named after his latest album; James Blunt will be joining him as the opener.
WayHome Music Festival – Looking to get out of the city for the weekend? WayHome Music Festival is just an hour and a half hour drive outside of Toronto and is ideal for first-time festival-goers! With acts such as Imagine Dragons, Frank Ocean, Solange, Vance Joy, Flume, Schoolboy Q, Tegan and Sara, and Banks, just to name a few. Tickets for all three days start at $249.99.
Osheaga – For more serious festival-goers looking for a mini-vacation, Osheaga is a 3-day event just outside of downtown Montreal, Quebec. Headlining this year is the Weekend, Muse, and Lorde. Other musical guests for any taste include Major Lazer, MGMT, Solange, Vance Joy, Foster the People, Milky Chance, Zedds Dead, Tove Lo, Majid Jordan, George Ezra, Russ, Matoma, and the Arkells.
Milky Chance – The German folk group is making its way to the Danforth Music Hall for their second North American tour. Tickets are still on sale ranging from $35-200.
Boots and Hearts – As always, this country music festival has a huge and exciting list of names already announced this year including, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert, Brett Eldredge, Eli Young Band, and Dan + Shay. Tier 2 tickets are currently on sale for $250.
Coldplay – The band’s newest album tour – A Head Full Dreams – is heading to the Rogers Centre this summer. Tickets are still on sale starting at $99.
August 31-September 1
Zac Brown Band – Why not end the summer off on a good note with all of your friends out on the Budweiser Stage lawn one last time; tickets starting $65.
Whether you’re into country, hip-hop, electronic, or pop – this summer will definitely be one for the books concert-wise.
