The role

We are looking for a Director, Content with 10+ years of experience in B2B content, editorial, or content marketing. Ideal candidates are experienced content leaders who can define content direction, guide teams, and ensure high-quality, insight-driven content across campaigns and programs.

They will lead the development and execution of content across formats, including written, video, and audio, ensuring narratives are clear, differentiated, and aligned with audience needs and business objectives. This role requires strong editorial judgment, content strategy experience, and the ability to translate complex inputs into structured, effective content approaches.

The Director, Content plays a critical role in shaping how content is created, delivered, and scaled across the agency. They lead and mentor writers and editors, contribute to client engagements, and ensure consistency, quality, and performance across all outputs. Candidates should demonstrate strong applied understanding of AI-enabled content workflows that support scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

Content Direction and Content Strategy

  • Develop and execute content strategies aligned with B2B marketing goals and buyer journey stages
  • Ensure all content aligns with client objectives, audience needs, and business outcomes
  • Translate unclear or unstructured client inputs into clear, actionable content approaches
  • Define content frameworks, messaging structures, and narrative direction across programs

Client Leadership and Engagement

  • Lead client workshops and working sessions to clarify messaging and content direction
  • Engage directly with clients to refine narratives and align content with business goals
  • Present content direction and recommendations clearly and confidently to stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients from ambiguity to structured content plans

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of writers and editors, setting clear standards for quality and strategic thinking
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and direction to elevate team output and performance
  • Ensure consistency in voice, messaging, and quality across all deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, and account teams to ensure content integrates effectively into campaigns
  • Align content development with broader campaign goals and delivery frameworks

Content Systems and Operational Excellence

  • Bring structure to complex or fast-moving projects, ensuring content development remains clear and aligned
  • Establish repeatable frameworks and processes that support scalable content production
  • Ensure content output maintains consistency, clarity, and quality across formats and channels

Thought Leadership and Innovation

  • Stay ahead of trends in B2B marketing, content formats, and audience behavior
  • Bring forward new ideas, formats, and approaches that strengthen the agency’s content offering
  • Contribute to internal thought leadership and the evolution of content practices

What you bring

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B content, editorial, or content marketing
  • Strong background in writing and editorial work, with experience leading content development
  • Deep understanding of B2B marketing, particularly within the technology sector
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and leading complex content engagements
  • Familiarity with written, video, and audio content formats
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead client discussions and workshops
  • Experience managing multiple projects and maintaining high-quality output under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and lead adoption of AI-powered tools to enhance content development, quality, and scalability
