TELUS Business took AI-powered dash cams to fleet-heavy industries
An e-book and a series of videos showing real footage of AI-powered dash cams at work

All that convenience comes at a cost
Today, convenience is everywhere. A search, a tap, and it arrives on the doorstep. Behind the scenes, vehicle fleets are on the move day and night, no matter the weather, to get those goods where they need to be. Large trucks have a fatality rate twice as high as other vehicles. With staffing shortages and supply chain issues putting pressure on fleets, road and driver safety are a growing issue.
That is where TELUS Business comes in. They operate a portfolio of fleet management solutions for businesses left to figure out how they can get their fleets running on time, and safely. The goal was to promote those solutions and improve safety and efficiency for vehicle fleets. The story had to reach a broad audience, including fleet directors, operations managers, IT, and executives.
Start with the hero assets
TELUS Business started by producing a few hero assets, then got the message out through a comprehensive media mix built to reach the audience with precision.
Staying alert to the dangers
The AI dash cam keeps companies alert to dangers like speeding and distracted driving, and gives them insights for making fleets more efficient and sustainable.
An e-book and real footage
An e-book explained how to move beyond basic fleet tracking. A series of videos showed real footage of how AI-powered dash cams work. Together they formed the hero assets the campaign was built around.
Reaching them at the right time
Programmatic ads, publisher direct media buys, content syndication, and LinkedIn reached the audience at the right place and the right time, across fleet-heavy industries such as transportation, oil and gas, construction, and HVAC.
Six-fold on average
On average, the campaign exceeded targets six-fold, with over 28,000 click-throughs beating the click target ten times over. Much like the audience, the campaign knew how to deliver.
